Founder and Artist; Mateo De La Harris was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The young prodigy describes his style of jewelry creation as a mixture of "Exotic Elegance".

Having no formal training and experience in jewelry making, the artist relentless ability to create art (jewelry) can only be described as "A Gift of GOD"

Mateo de la Harris holds a Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, from Southern New Hamphsire University, and a MBA from Strayer University. Mateo eye for art and fashion however, lead him into a sales and marketing position at a NY gallery. He then went on to launch his own fashion jewelry consulting business; placing fine jewelry designers at the exclusive Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus, Maxfield La, RoseArk and other major retailers.

Mateos inspiration is derived from a combination of personal experiences and love(s): nature, vintage fashion, vacations in the Amazon jungle and last but not least, his mother, Carmen Alzenia Harris - "The eternal muse".

Mateo Bijoux is without hesitation extraordinarily beautiful. References to nature and classical forms come alive with an effortless freshness created through scale, balance, color and movement. The designs are modern and innovative.
